Do I have to register? Not to read stories or post reviews. However, if you would like to post a story here, you must be registered. Help! I can't figure out how to register! What you need to do is click the LOG IN button, and you will see the register button at the bottom. All you need to register is to choose a user name and submit your e-mail address. But I don't like giving out my e-mail address because of all that spam. Don't worry, no one will have access to your real address. People will be able to send you messages only through a form. How do I sumit my story? -Log in with your name and password -Click on "Add New Story" -Read the submission guidelines, then click on the category your story belongs in. -Fill out the forms. At the bottom, you have two options: -- Copy/Paste your story into the window. (Much like on ezboard, etc.) -- Or upload the story in html format from your hard drive. (But not WORD - see formating below) How should I format my story. The best way to format your story is to use any word processing program or text editor, and only including the tags for bolding, italicising, centering, etc. (Do not use BBcodes [b][i][u][center], as this method is not currently supported.) Then copy and paste your submission into the submission form. You may also upload html pages or text files, but do not use Word because Word's html is incompatible with this archive. Your story will come up blank. I submitted my story, but half of the words aren't there! Help! Unfortunately, each chapter can be no longer than 12,000 words. Once it reaches just over that, it cuts off the rest of the story. It's okay. Just start a new chapter from that point on. How long after I submit my story will it appear? Your story will appear instantly. How do I add a new chapter to my story? -Log In -Click "Add New Chapter" -Click the "Add Chapter" link next to the story you're adding to. -Follow the same procedure as before. Do I have to re-enter the summary, category, etc. each time I add a chapter? No, not if you change your account so that the chapter information carry's over. You can do this by: -Log In -Click on "Edit Personal Information" -Click the button that says "Carry Over Chapter Info" -Save (Note: you do the same thing to receive e-mail alerts for reviews - just click on "Contact For New Reviews") How do I make my story appear as completed? - Log In. - Click on "Edit/Delete Stories" - Click the "No" next to the completed story, and it will automatically change to "Yes." How do I change my page to a different skin? -Log In -Click on "Edit Personal Information" -Scroll down to where it says "Skin" and choose the option you'd like. -Save I noticed the featured stories box on the front of the index page. How do I get my story featured? One of two ways. Either you have a lot of feedback on your story, or I read it and see if it's one I recommend. If you would like your story to be read, let me know. How do I submit a challenge? I've put up a sample, if you are unsure, and if you have any other questions, please e-mail me.
